Applicable Taxes
Insurance Surcharge (YQ)
An Insurance Surcharge of US$5.00 per segment is levied on all passengers. The YQ is collected at the time of ticket issuance, however if omitted in the ticket, airline check-in personnel will collect the YQ.

Fuel Surcharge(YR)
Fuel Surcharge of US$7.00 per segment is levied on all passengers except those traveling from Kolkota to Bangkok and v.v. The fuel surcharge for this sector will be US$ 10 per segment. The YR is collected at the time of ticket issuance, if erroneously omitted in the ticket; airline check-in personnel will collect the YR.

Airport Tax
Bangkok : THB 500.00 and payable on departure in Thai currency only.
Paro: Nu.500.00 and collected at the time of ticket issuance.
Kathmandu: NER 781 - travel to SAARC countries for nationals only
NER1356- travel to SAARC countries for foreigners NER1130- travel to other countries for nationals only NER1685-travel to other countries for foreigners

Passenger Service Fees (PSF)
For travel Ex-India, a Passenger Service Fee of INR.225 is levied on passengers for tickets issued in India and US$ 6.00 in equivalent local currency for tickets issued outside the Indian Territory. The PSF is collected at the time of issuance of ticket, however if omitted in the ticket, airline check-in personnel will collect the

PSF.

Service Tax on business class
All business class passengers embarking from India are subject to an additional 12.24% Service Tax on the fare. The tax will be collected at the time of issuance of ticket. If mistakenly omitted, the airline check-in personnel will collect the tax. Service Tax not applicable to U.N. Agencies.

Cancellation and Refund Policy (DA/COM/CP/TARIFF/04/228 Date : 29Dec, 2004 )

  1. RESERVATION PROCEDURES

  •  10% name change will be accepted upon payment of administrative fees.

•  Tickets during high season should be bought during the time of ticketing itself.

•  Ticketing time limit 14 days for low season.

•  Reschedule of flight date will be permitted. Ticket once rescheduled will not be refunded and a Non-Refundable seal to be stamped on all flight coupons.

2. CANCELLATION and REFUND

2.1 High season : March/April/May/September/October/November

  1. Cancellation made in case of requested/wait-listed ticket – Nu. 500.00
  2. Only 10% cancellation will be permitted with full refund, the rest shall not be refunded.
  3. For one sector confirmed and other sector on request /wait-listed up to 7 days before the date of departure. Full refund permitted.
  4. Cancellation for one sector confirmed and the other sector on request/wait-listed made less than 7 days before schedule date of departure; - No airfare refund on the confirmed sector and full airfare refundable on the request/wait-listed sector.
  5. Passenger(s) holding confirmed ticket. Who report after the counter is closed of their flight will be treated as “No Show” and will not be entitled to any refund of airfare except insurance surcharges and taxes.
  6. Passengers holding confirm ticket missed or misconnect due to delay arrival of the first carrier the passenger will be accepted for rebooking without any charges subject to production of authentic documents.
  7. Passenger(s) who check-in on time but fail to embark on the flight concerned without information are treated as “Gate-No-Show” and are not entitled to any refund except insurance surcharge and taxes.
  8. No cancellation charges will apply on infant fares.
  9. Passengers wishing to change his/her travel sector from lower to higher airfare: No administrative fee will be levied. If the passenger wishes to change his/her sector from higher to lower airfare administrative fee is to be connected.

•  Low season : January/February/June/July/August/December

- Cancellation rule under 5.1 will apply for low season.

In the event the passenger cancels his/her ticket the following cancellation charges will apply for refund :

•  Passenger(s) holding confirmed reservation reports after the counter is closed will be treated as “No Show” charge of 50% of the airfare will be deducted for refund. On such cases no administrative fee shall be levied.

•  If the passenger under “No Show” wishes to travel at a latter date and not claim for refund than there will be rebooking fee of USD 25.00 per ticket paid in equivalent local currency.

•  Passengers holding confirm ticket misses or misconnect due to delay arrival of the first carrier the passenger will be accepted for rebooking without any charges subject to production of authentic documents. In case the passenger wishes to apply for refund, the same may be extended after collection of administrative fees.

•  No cancellation charges will apply on infant fares.

Note :

This will also be applicable to GSA/PSA holding Druk Air documents.

    1. Administrative fees will be applicable for all refunds and reissue.
