Overview
Elephant Safari
Our elephant allows you to approach closely to same of the world’s rarest animals such as Great one horned rhinos and sloth bears. The tri lasts approximately one and a half hours.
Canoe Trip
A trip a dugout canoe on either the Rapti or the Budhi Rapti Riverwhich border the National Park will provide a chance to see two types of crocodiles, the Gharial and the Mugger basking on the river banks. Other wildlife, especially bird, is of an additional interest.
Elephant Breeding Centre
This is the first elephant breeding center in Asia and is situated only one and half km. from our hotel. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies. The centre is government owned and its purpose if to raise the young elephants, and to train them to convey tourists around the region. Guests at paradise may accompany our privately owned elephants to experience their daily bathing in the river.
Village Tour
Tharus are the indigenous inhabitants of the Terai. We offer guided cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional way of life. At the hotel we feature ethic Tharu dance which exhibits traditional movements and invite guests to join them in this rhythmic display.
Bird Watching
We are specialists in the birds of Nepal. Active members of the Bird Education Society of Nepal are employees of the hotel. The park is a habitat for over 450 residential and migratory species. Many are threatened e.g. the Great Pied Hornbill, Bengal Florican, Peregrine Falcon, lesser adjutant strokes etc, a bird watching trip with our resident naturalists will be a memorable experience.
Nature Walk
Our experienced naturalists will accompany you to the more specialized habitats. This is an ideal opportunity to explore and experience, at closer quarters, the beauty of the flora and fauna. The naturalists are trained to observe changes in animal behavior and can detect if an animal is becoming agitated to ensure your safety by avoiding an attack.
Jungle Drive
We provide tour by four wheel drive jeep in the less disturbed areas of the park for an opportunity to view rarer species; you will visit Ox-bow lakes and a museum of historic interest relating to the park. These facilities inside park are not available during the monsoon. However during this period we visit the 20,000 Lakes area which offers a varied experience of birds and mammals.
