Tour Itinerary |
Day 01: Home - Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, self transfer to hotel to have a rest. In
the afternoon free. |
Day 02: Beijing sightseeing
In the morning met with the local tour guide. And then stroll in the
Tian An Men square, which is probably the biggest one of its kind in
the world. Then go to visit Forbidden city (Gugong) the emperor's
palace which was built between 1406 and 1420 with 9000 halls and
rooms, containing many precious relics. Facing south and rising from
a terrace, the largest palace in the world represents the supreme
power and authority emperors enjoyed during the feudalistic
dynasties as well as best exemplifies the elements of palace
architecture. In the afternoon visit Summer Palace which was built
in 1153 in northwest of Peking. It is an outstanding example of
imperial gardens in classical Chinese style, housing tens of
thousands of precious cultural relics. |
Day 03: Beijing sightseeing
After the breakfast go to the Great Wall, one of the eight ancient
wonders of the world and the only man-made construction on earth
that the astronauts can see in the moon. Starting out in the east on
the banks of Yalu River in Liaoning Province, the Wall stretches
westwards for 12,700 kilometers to Jiayuguan in the Gobi Desert. It
was built as a defensive structure and gradually become the symbol
of the ancient Chinese civilization. Then visit the Ming Tombs,
which is a group of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors and their
empresses and concubines. Two of the toms are opens to the public.
The most famous is the Dingling, an underground palace. |
Day 04: Beijing - Xining
Take flight to Xining, the capital of Qinghai province which is in
the middle of the China west. Free in the afternoon, enjoy yourself in
wondering in the streets. |
Day 05: Xining - Marchen
Visit Konbom monastery, and drive to Marchen,when arrive at Guide, you
cross the Yellow river, only water in this part of Yellow river is
clean and clear. At Jungong, you will second cross the Yellow river, by
the bridge is a big and grand monastery. Before you get to
Marchen, there is a huge snow mountain, its peak is over 6100m,in this
town,there is a hugepiles of prayer flags by a mountain side, it was
said walking around it 13 times is equivilent to walking 1 time
around holy Mt. Animarchen (its peak is 6282m) |
Day 06: Marchen - Mt.Animarchen camping
at the camping place is a wide, open area, from ther you can see the
pointed peak ofMt.Animarchen, the camping place is close to a big
river(a branch of Yellow river) |
Day 07: Mt.Animarchen -
Enjoy the sunset outside of Mardo,there it is wide, openr
grassland (two lakes --Erling lake &Tsaling lake is about 70km to the
west of Mardo) |
Day 08: Marduo - Yushu
Arrival there, free time to enjoy yourself to touch the most
beautiful place in the south of Qinghai, the name of Yushu :Yu means
Jade, Shu means trees, so you can imagine the beauty of this place in
the past. |
Day 09: Yushu sightseeing
at Yushu, you can visit Dangkha monastery(Gejhu pa order), Xiewu
monastery(Sakya pa order), Jiegu monastery(Sakya pa), and Litang
monastery in Litang village, temple of Prencess Wencheng |
Day 10: Yushu - Shiqu (in Sichuan province)
Tday you can visit Xiewu monastery, and also you will get across the
upper reach of the Yangtse riverthere is a high monument there.
before Shiqu town,visit the Sexu monastery just by the road. it is
worth your stay. |
Day 11: Shiqu - Zhuqing monastery camping by the monastery
Zhuqing monastery belongs to Nimapa order, it is famous for its
Buddism scripture research and study. There are a lot acheived Lhamas
in the world. |
Day 12: Zhuqing monastery - Derge
Visit Gengqing monastery and Derge. The Derge is famous for its
Buddhism scripture printing & Reserving in the world ,nowadays there
are a lot of Tibetans in China and abroard using scripture printed
here. Once in history, Derge printing house was listed among the 3
most famous and important printing houses in Tibetan area, most of
the book studied by Dalai Lama and Panchan Lama are from here.
Between Manigange and Derge there is high mountain named Mt.Quer its
pass is 5025m high
before you drive in to Derge town,there is a nie and impressive
valley to pass and enjoy. |
Day 13: Derge - Baiyu
On the tour visit the Gatuo monastery located at the top of a
mountain, which belongs to Ningma-pa order. At Baiyu town, visit the
magnificent Baiyu monastery by the town on mountain top. Baiyu is a
nice town the streets are lined with nice trees. A river (branch of
Jinsha jiang0 flows through it. Nice buidings with strong local
Tibetan style and characters can be seen everywhere |
Day 14: Baiyu - Ganzi
After leaving Baiyu, there is a wonderful part of river, which is
very suitable to rafting. Two side of tit are mountains covered with
lush and green trees, grass.nice local houses dot in it, it is a real
nice place for human being to populate around, when arrive ar
Ganzi,visit Ganzi monastery in the glory of the shining of its
golden eaves and roofs. Behind the monastery is a nunery, it was built
by a Renpocher who once lived in Switzland, now he is here to teach
local girls and buil hospitals, schhol |
Day 15: Ganzi - Litang
20km our to the east of it, turn to the south, follow the Yalong river
to Xinlong, at Xinlong, a nice monastery is at the top of the
mountain, inside is a trainning school, there are some young Lama
studying ..
Go on to arrive at Litang.
Litang is a high town with a elevation of 4100m,located at a wide
,flat grassland.the meaning of <Litang> is a wide ,flat grass land .
Visit Litang monastery,the biggest one in west Sichuan
province.Litang monastery once was the residence of 7th Dalai Lhama
when he was chosen.at that period Tibet was in chaos of wars |
Day 16: Litang – Khangding hotel
Enjoy the picturesque area. Taking photoes in the so-called
photographer’s paradise---Xindu qiao.which is also the road
diversion place ;to the noth from here is the Northern route of
Sichuan-Tibet highway, the west is the southern route of that
highway. |
Day 17: Kangding – Chengdu hotel
After leaving Khangding, at a pass, you will see the highest
mountainin Sichuan—Mt.Gongga (elevation:7556m), Mt.Gongga is a good
place for mountain cimbers, although it is less than 8000m, it is
still very difficult to climb and conquer it..
After passing the Erlang mountain, soon you will get to Chengdu,the
home of Pandas. (The Erlang tunnel is about 10km long through the
heart of Mt.Erlang.), before the tunnel was built, the transportation
over this mountain is a very dangerous task. |
