Hangzhou, the capital city of
Zhejiang, is located in northern Zhejiang Province, near the lower
reaches of Qiantang River and the southern end of the Beijing-Hangzhou
Grand Canal. Consisting of five urban districts and seven suburban
areas, the combined area of Hangzhou is 16,600 square kilometers.
Hangzhou was first established as Qiantang County during the Qin
Dynasty in the 3rd century B.C. By the 10 century, it was the
capital of Wu and Yue and later became the temporary capital of the
Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). Ancient Hangzhou has enjoyed
great praise for centuries. It has been known as the "Land of Silk",
and "There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below" goes the
oft-repeated saying.
Today, Hangzhou is one of the most important historical and cultural
cities designated by the Chinese government. To the east of Hangzhou
is a booming modern metropolis. To the west are old palaces,
temples, exquisite gardens and rolling hills covered by many of the
finest tea plantations in China. Its chief attraction is the West
Lake and some 40 scenic spots scattered around this mountain and
lake area. The Pagoda of Six Harmonies, the Tomb of Yue Fei, the
statues of the Flown Over Peak, Lingyin Temple (Temple of the Soul's
Retreat) are the most famous sights in Hangzhou.

The inner Mongolia Autonomous
Region lies on China's northern frontier. It is the longest among
China's provinces and autonomous regions.
Hohhot in central inner Mongolia is the capital of the autonomous
region. Hohhot means "green city" in the Mongolian language. It has
a population of 660,000 in its city district, who belong to ten
ethnic groups: Mongolian, Han, Manchu, Hui, etc.
Hohhot is a famous historical and cultural city in China. There has
been settlement here for more than four centuries, since the time of
the Ming Dynasty.
Among the famous historical sites in Hohhot are the Temple of Five
Pagodas, White Dagoba, Great Mosque and Zhaojun's Tomb. The horse
race course, built in 1959 in celebration of the 10th anniversary of
the founding of the People's Republic of China, is the largest horse
race course in China. There are also the inner Mongolia Museum, Wu
Lanfu's Memorial Hall and the Hasu Lake Holiday Village built in
recent years.

Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region (HKSAR) is located at the outer east side of
the Zhujiang River (Pearl River) mouth. It is made up of the Hong
Kong island, the Kowloon Peninsula, the New Territories and 235
smaller isles. The total area is 1055.61 square kilometers.
Hong Kong is a hub for air and ocean transportation in East Asia and
a financial center in the Far East. With highly developed commerce,
it is commonly acknowledged as "a Paradise for Purchasers".
Hong Kong is the tourist attraction of the noted international
metropolis. Its features are shopping tour, gourmet tour, grand
occasion & ceremony tour, culture & sightseeing tour, and etc. Hong
Kong has a lot of commodities that are of super quality and
competitive price. There are the world's largest coral-reef
aquarium, the marine animals' performance, the shark aquarium, the

Sea-bathing Resort, the Sung City's Pseudo-Song-Dynasty Scenic
Sights & Life Tourist Center, and the Man Mo Temple, which is the
oldest and largest temple in Hong Kong.
Besides the scenic spots include the Ocean Park, Song Dynasty Town,
Victoria Peak Garden, and etc.

Situated ten kilometers south
of the Huanghe River (Yellow River), the city of Kaifeng covers an
area of 359 square Kilometers and has a population of 530,000. It is
smooth in terrain, stretching as far as the eye can see.
Kaifeng has a mild temperate monsoon climate. The annual mean
temperature is 14.4℃ with a fairly large annual temperature
difference.
Kaifeng is a city under the jurisdiction of Henan Province. It was
one of the six major ancient capitals of China (the other five being
Xian, Luoyang, Beijing, Nanjing and Hangzhou). The city of Kaifeng
was already in existence before 700 B.C. During the period of
Warring States more than 2,300 years ago, King Hui of the State of
Wei moved his capital to Kaifeng, rebuilt the city and called it
Daliang. Since then, Kaifeng is the capital of several dynasties.
As an ancient capital, Kaifeng has a lot of historical relics and
scenic spots. Some of them have been preserved, such as the iron
Pagoda, Po Pagoda, Xiangguo Monastery, Dragon Pavilion, Terrace of
King Yu and Yanqing Taoist Temple. They are precious heritages of
the Chinese culture.
Today, fundamental changes have taken place and remarkable
achievements have been made. The city itself has also been enlarged.

Kashi is located in Xinjiang
Uygur Autonomous Region, which is the region farthest from the sea
in the world. The Great Bazaar in Kashi is very famous in China. It
is the largest open market for farm products in Xinjiang. Kashi is s
major city on the Silk Road and had a developed commerce over 2,000
years ago. In recent years, the bazaar has become even more
prosperous thanks to the government's efforts to open China to the
rest of the world. This bazaar is a must for tourists in Kashi.
The Great idkah Mosque in central Kashi is the largest mosque in
Xinjiang. It was first built in 1798 and rebuilt in 1838 into what
it is today. Covering an area of 2.5 acres, it is fronted by two
10-meter-high towers at either side of the gate. The towers and gate
are joined by short walls. The entire mosque makes a majestic,
solemn, grand and magnificent atmosphere. Inside the temple are
pools of water and white poplars pointing to the sky. The Hall of
Worship is 160 meters long and has a seating capacity for
