It is the half day trip inside the Kathmandu Valley. The pick up time is around 09:30 Am in morning from your Hotel and drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square first. Kathmandu Durbar Square was the royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom. Which is one of three Durbar (royal palace) Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Several buildings in the Square collapsed due to a major earthquake on 25 April 2015. Durbar Square was surrounded with spectacular architecture and vividly showcases the skills of the Newar artists and craftsmen over several centuries. The Royal Palace was originally at Dattaraya square and was later moved to the Durbar square. Later on move to the Swayambhunath Stupa. Which is just 30 mins (2.2 km) drive from Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is the golden spire crowning a conical wooded hill, Swayambhunath Stupa is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire are visible for many miles and from all sides of the valley. Historical records found on a stone inscription give evidence that the stupa was already an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination by the 5th century AD. Later on we will drive back to Hotel nearly 13:00 Pm.
