Dhap Dam- The dam site is located at the North East part of Kathmandu district bordering with Sindhupalchowk and Nuwakot districts. Geographically it is located at Lat. 27 48 18, Long. 85 27 21, Alt. 2067m amsl. Administratively, It lies at ward No 1 of Gokarneshwor Municipality of Kathmandu district. The area lies in the conservation zone within the territory of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park.
Dam site can be accessed through the two routes from Kathmandu valley. One is from Sundarijal area and another is from Sankhu area. The distance of site from Sundarijal is about 21 km and that from Sankhu is about 15 km only. The site can be accessed round the year through semi graveled earthen road from the both routes.

Nagarkot is one of the nearest and most famous Mountain View point from Kathmandu. Enjoy the sunset over the Himalayas. Nagarkot is situated 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175 m above sea level. Nagarkot is a popular tourist spot of Nepal. The renowned Buddhist monks used homage for meditation, such as Vashu Bandhu, Atisha, Situ Chokyi Jungne (Kagyu Lama) and Rinpoche Lamas. There is a monastic school with 250 students, a meditation centre, a clinic, and a guest house. A couple of hours hiking from Balthali and Dhulikhel reaches the Namo Buddha.
Balthali is a typical Nepalese village situated in Panauti Valley. It is around 35 KM far from Kathmandu. This peaceful village is surrounded by green hills and typical fields of rice. Mardi Himal is a mountain with a height of 5587 m in the Annapurna area in Nepal.

The Mardi Himal mountain is less than 20 km north of Pokhara in Nepal. It is the southernmost summit of the Annapurna Mountains. The photos taken in 1953 by the Englishman Basil Good fellow caused the mountain to be “discovered”. The first ascent was in 1961, via the east wall. This is the most used route so far. Attempts to climb via the south wall have so far failed.

The mountain lies in the extension of the south-west bone of its “big brother” Machhapuchhare and is most visible from the south. The southwest wall has three distinct rock boulders, with glaciers suspended between them. The east wall is separated from the Machhapuchhare ridge by a pass at 5200 meters. The most common climbing route is via this pass. The summit offers the most beautiful view of the Machhapuchhare and other peaks of the Annapurna massif.

The valleys and ridges at the foot of the Mardi Himal are steep and heavily overgrown with bamboo and rhododendrons .

High in the priority list of trekkers, the Everest Base Camp is one of the most visited regions in the Himalaya. The two-week trek starts and finishes at Lukla, an airstrip to the south of the region also known as the ‘Gateway to Everest’. Most trekkers fly to Lukla to begin the trek.

After landing in the airstrip, a gentle two-day trek up the Dudh Koshi valley leads to the famous Namche Bazaar. The route has an abundance of tea houses. Phakding and Monjo are the popular stopovers on the first day and just beyond Monjo is the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale check point where permits are checked. The trail that followed the Dudh Koshi River starts going uphill from the suspension bridge just a few minutes from Jorsale and Namche Bazaar is reached after a 3-hour hike.

It is good to halt here for a few days to acclimatize by walking in the surroundings of Namche as it can’t be done in a hurry. A visit to Syangboche or some Sherpa villages such as Thame, Khumjung and Khunde are just a few hours walk from Namche and are good options for a hike to while away your time.

Leaving Namche Bazaar, the trail follows the valley of Imja Khola with spectacular views of Thamserku, Kangtega and Ama Dablam mountains, while dominating the skyline ahead are the giants, Lhotse and Everest. The most common night halt after Namche is at the top of a steep climb from the Imja Khola at Tengboche. The Tengboche Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries, probably because of its unrivalled backdrop, Mt. Ama Dablam.

Following the Imja Khola from Tengboche, the trail ascends through Pangboche until Pheriche or Dingboche is reached, where the day’s trek ends. Another day of acclimatization follows with a fascinating side trip to Chhukung which is about a 3 hour walk from Dingboche.

From Dingboche or Pheriche a 6-hour walk leads to Lobuche which sits on the lateral moraine of the Khumbu glacier. What follows is a roughly 3-hour hike from Lobuche to the last settlement on the trail known as Gorak Shep. The few tea houses at this place provide shelter for the night before one undertakes the final leg of the trek over the glacier to Everest Base Camp.

Above Gorak Shep is seen the popular view point known as Kala Patthar, from where many a trekker has captured the image of the world’s highest mountain and gazed up in awe. The trek along the glacier to base camp can take up to five hours. This is treacherous ground and one must walk through this area cautiously, as finding a route can be tricky and there’s always the risk of falling on the slippery ice. Being at Everest Base Camp is an out of this world experience.

Lukla Airport
You will fly into Tenzing-Hillary Airport, also known as Lukla Airport, so get ready for a mix of beauty and pure terror. People always describe it as “beautiful yet terrifying.” Picture this: the airport is stuck right on the side of a mountain, almost 2,900m high. On one end, there’s a crazy 600m drop off a cliff face and a solid stone wall on the other. The tiny cabin, breathtaking views, and nerve-wracking approach will keep you on the edge of your sea.

Phakding Monastery
Phakding monastery got bigger, and if the weather’s clear, you can see Thamserku, part of Kusum Kanguru, and even Tawachi way up north. Some people say you can even spot Everest from up on the ridge. This monastery is Nyingma-pa and pretty active.
About 20 monks and nuns live here, and they do their prayers, usually in the mornings, or so we’ve heard. The main building has a pretty intense statue of Guru Rinpoche, holding his Vajra/Dorje, the skull mace, and some vase-like objects.
On both sides are even scarier statues of two female deities, Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava, in Nepal. The one on the right is a weird-looking white demon with a freaky mouth and scary eyes. The other one, called Dorje Tapu, is just as terrifying. There are also statues of Sakyamuni Buddha and Chenresig.

Hilary Suspension Bridge l
This final suspension bridge, situated above Nepal’s Dudh Koshi River and named in honor of Sir Edmund Hillary, who, along with Tenzing Norgay, achieved the first summit of Everest, is among the many suspension bridges that adventurers heading towards Everest Base Camp must traverse. This bridge is popular for capturing photographs along the route, adorned with prayer flags and Khada Buddhist shawls and surrounded by rugged canyons.
Standing at a staggering length of 459 feet and a height of 410 feet, it frequently sways under the influence of high-altitude winds. As the last bridge to be crossed before reaching Namche Bazaar, famously known as the “gateway to Everest,” it marks a significant milestone for trekkers journeying from Phakding to Namche.

Everest View Hotel
Everest views hotel, one of the main highlights of this trek, offers the best viewpoint of Mt Everest after Namche Bazar. You’ll also get the most fantastic view of Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m) and a bunch of other small peaks and glaciers. Khumjung Monastery

Khumjung Village

We will wake up early and move to the airport after our flight to Lukla. Lukla airport is known as the second most dangerous airport globally, so we will undoubtedly have one of the most thrilling flights of our life. Upon reaching Lukla, we will see the change in scenery, and the Himalayan landscape becomes quite prominent, along with stimulating freshness in the air. We will begin trekking through a forested trail to reach Cheplung village. Finally, we will descend to the Dudh Koshi River Valley, where Phakding village is located. Phakding will welcome us with a glimpse of Mt. Kusum Kanguru (6,367 m).

Day 2Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m): 5-6 Hours
After having a warm breakfast, we will begin trekking on the main trail to take us to Namche Bazar, the biggest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region. On the way, we will go through small towns like Jorsale and Monjo. Moreover, Monjo is the entry point of the Sagarmatha National Park, and we will trek through the national park, which increases our chances of coming across wildlife. The trail will include pristine rivers, alpine woods, small streams, and forests of pine & cedar.

It will be our rest day so that our bodies can get acclimatized to the altitude we have gained in the past few days. We will begin our day with a delicious breakfast. After that, we will hike to Syangboche Airstrip, where we will get to see the full view of Namche Bazar and snow-capped mountains. Further, we will walk to the famous Everest View Hotel, which offers a beautiful view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m) and other Himalayan mountains. Later that day, we will visit the Everest Photo Gallery and Sherpa Culture Museum.

Day 4Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,800 m): 5-6 Hours
Dudh Koshi River and Imja Khola. Tengboche is a beautiful village surrounded by high hills covered with gorgeous rhododendron bushes. Here, we will visit the Tengboche monastery, one of the biggest and oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region. We will get to see stunning views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), and many other mountains.

Day 5Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m): 6-7 Hours
We will cross the Imja River over a suspension bridge and continue our trek toward Dingboche. First, we will come across Pangboche village. Then, we will trek through a forested trail and reach Dingboche, the Summer Valley of the Khumbu region. We will get to see striking views of Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Island Peak (6,189 m), and many other snow-capped mountains from here.

Day 6Rest day Dingboche (4,360 m)
It is our second rest day. We will spend the day exploring the village and its nearby areas. After aving breakfast, we will hike to a hilltop located 5,100 meters above Dingboche at the edge of Chhukung village. The hike will be steep and demands a little more energy. From the top, we will get to see outstanding Himalayas views of Kangtega (6,782 m), Taboche Peak (6,542 m), Lobuche East (6,119 m), Lobuche West (6,145 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and Thamserku (6,623 m). If the weather is clear, we will also see the stunning view of Mt. Makalu (8,481 m), the fifth highest mountain in the world. After spending some at the top, we will return to Dingboche to spend our night.

Day 7Trek to Lobuche (4,940 m): 5-6 Hours
We will trek and reach Dhungla. Then, the trail will take us just above Pheriche. After that, the route will take us and the Khumbu glacier moraine. We will see views of mountains like Mt. Pumori (7,161 m), Mt. Lingtren (6,749 m), and numerous mountains along the way. After we cross the glacier, we will see the view of Mt. Nuptse.

Day 8Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,150 m) to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m), back to Gorakshep: 7-8 Hours
Here comes the most awaited day of our trip. Today, we will wake up early and have breakfast. After that, we will begin walking gradually along the side of the Khumbu Glacier. After trekking for around 2 to 3 hours, we will reach Gorakshep, which used to be the initial base camp of Mt. Everest. Then, we will ascend to Everest Base Camp’s edge. Along the way to the Everest base camp, we will get to see breathtaking views of the Khumbu Icefall, Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), and Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Mt. Lingtren (6,749 m), and many others. After spending some time at the Everest Base Camp, we will return to Gorakshep, where we will spend the night.

Day 9Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) to Pheriche (4,280 m): 7-8 Hours
We will wake up early and begin trekking towards Kala Patthar. Kala Patthar is a viewpoint from where we can see clear view of Mt. Everest (8,848 m) along with captivating views of Nuptse (7,861 m), Lhotse (8,516 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), Pumori (7,161 m), Thamserku (6,623 m), and many other Himalayan mountains. Upon reaching Kala Patthar, we will see fantastic sunrise amidst Mt. Everest and other peaks. After spending some time at the Kala Patthar, we will return to Gorakshep and descend to Pheriche, where we will spend our Overnight in the lodge.

Day 10Trek from Pheriche to Namche (3,440 m): 6-7 Hours
After breakfast, we will trek following the Imja River down to Tengboche. We will go through small villages, pine & rhododendron forests, and small streams. From Tengboche, we will descend to Phungki Thanka and pass by Kyung Juma before reaching Namche Bazar. Throughout the trial, we will enjoy a lovely view of the Himalayan landscape.

Day 11Trek from Namche to Phakding and then to Lukla (2,800 m): 5-6 Hours
After having breakfast, we will trek back to Lukla via Phakding. We pretty much follow the same trail. We will begin our trek by descending steeply and crossing a suspension bridge. After that, we will come across several chortens, mani walls, small gompas, and colorful prayer flags.
Further, we will ascend through a dense forest of pine & rhododendron and reach Lukla, our last destination for the day.

Day 12Fly to Ramechhap and drive to Kathmandu 4 Hours or directly to Kathmandu.
We will wake up and have our last breakfast with a view of the Himalayas. After that, we will fly back to Kathmandu 45minute or to Ramechhap from where it takes another 4 hour drive to Kathmandu in peak season time Oct-Dec/Mar/Apr. The flight will be short and offer scenic views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will move to our hotel. The rest of the day allows us to relax and explore independently. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

In the off season time Jan /Feb/May-Sep will be form Kathmandu.

The best time to go on the Everest Base Camp Trek is March-May and September-December. During this time of the year, the weather is generally clear and presents the region’s best views.

During the Monsoon (June to mid-September), the region receives heavy rainfall, making the trail slippery and having clear views. Similarly, in winter, the area gets heavy snowfall, and the region receives heavy snowfall in winter, making the climate extremely cold and harsh.

Everest Base Camp Trekking is a moderate trek. The trail is not so difficult in technical climbing, but you have to walk around 5-7 hours or more per day. So you have to be passionate to walk long hours. Moreover, trekking to a higher altitude always required average physical fitness and sting determination.

If you have any prior hiking or trekking experience, it would be great,t bt; it’s; it’s not mandatory to go on Everest Base Camp Trek. We also request you to inform us about any past medical history to give you the best option during the trek.

Cancellation Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / NO SHOW / EARLY DEPARTURE
In the event of cancellation of tour / travel/Trekking services – due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason, you must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive advice in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:-

Before 60 days – No cancellation charge.
From 60 days to 45 days – 5% of the total tour / service cost
From 45 days to 15 days – 10% of the total tour / service cost
From 15 days to 07 days – 15% of the total tour / service cost
From 07 days to 02 days (48 hrs) – 30% of the total tour / service cost
From 48 hours to arrival or NO SHOW – NO REFUND

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount, which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
