Overview
Ilam is the Far eastern district of the country which is inhabited by people of different culture, Nature living together peacefully. Illam is located on the foothills of Mount Kanchanjunga.We can find large land of lush-green tea gardens in Illam and the rolling hills covered with tea leaves are simply Wonderful. Greenery is all over the hills of Illam all around the year.Illam Tea Garden is situated near Illam Bazaar and Kanyam Tea Garden located between Terai plain and ILam Bazaar.
Ilam district is a Hilly district of Mechi Zone in Eastern Nepal. The district covers 1,703 km2 (658 sq mi). Ilam is the district headquarters, about 600 km (370 mi) from Kathmandu.
Ilam attracts many researchers who come to study rare birds and the Red Panda. Ilam stretches from the Terai belt to the upper hilly belt of this Himalayan nation.
Its ILAM TEA is very famous and is exported to many parts of the world. The main source of income in this district is tea, cardamom, milk, ginger, potato and broom production on a large scale.
KANYAM AND FIKKAL: On the way to Ilam Bazaar, Kanyam and Fikkal have large tea estates that have made Ilam famous for more than a hundred years. These tea gardens are popular among tourists for picnicking, sightseeing and photography. Fikkal is a business center in eastern Ilam and lies on the Mechi Highway leading to Ilam. It is also the junction from where one can go to the eastern border city of Pashupatinagar adjacent to Darjeeling. Indian and Nepali nationals can cross over to the other side of the border with valid documents.
ANTU DANDA: Situated at an altitude of 2,328 m, Antu Danda is famous for its spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset over the eastern Himalaya. From here, magnificent views of the 8,586-m Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest peak, as well as Kumbhakarna and other snowy summits can be had. Antu Danda is surrounded by scenic terraces, slopes and plains covered by different types of vegetation. On a clear day you can see the middle hills and plains of neighboring Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India. There are homestay facilities at Antu Danda, which is about 35 km southeast of Ilam Bazaar, the district headquarters.

Outline Itinerary
Day 01:Pick up from Bhadrapur Airport or Kakarvitta and drive to Kanyam Tea Garden(54km). Free time for Lunch and visit Kanyam Tea Garden, enjoy photoshoots with different cultural dresses . Then drive to Shree Antu(20km). Visit Antu pokhari and check in. Overnight in Shree Antu.
Day 02:Early Morning visit Shree Antu View tower for sun rise and Views. After Breakfast drive to Bhadrapur Airport (74km) or Kakarvitta (75km) or Pashupatinagar (34).
